Submission Guidelines for Group |

All group panel proposals must include the following information: (a) a 500 word summary of the overall panel proposal, and (b) a 200-250 word description of each individual presentation in the panel with a total length of 1000-1,250 words (excluding references) for use in judging the merits of the proposed panel. The centralized on-line submission system to be accessed via the conference website will prompt you for the different sections to submit.
(a) Summary: Title: The panel title should be entered with proper capitalization (e.g., the first letter of each appropriate word is capitalized--this title will be directly entered in the program). Abstract of 500 words describing: a. Objectives and main questions addressed by the overall panel session. b. Perspectives or theoretical/conceptual framework. c. Educational or scientific importance. d. Contribution to the field of comparative/international education or to the conference theme Re-Imagining Education. e. Description of how the session will be structured. Keywords or Descriptors: The Online Proposal Submission System will prompt for up to three descriptors from a list. These descriptors will be used in the Subject Index of the CIES Program. Region and country. Audiovisual requests. We anticipate that standard presentation equipment (LCD and overhead projectors and PowerPoint-equipped PCs) will be available for all sessions. Presentation slides and electronic materials must be formatted to be PC / Microsoft Windows compatible. Presentations must be in a “memory stick” and ready to upload in the computer available for that purpose at the conference. (b) Description of each individual presentationin the panel: This will need to be uploaded into the on-line submission system preferable in “Word” or RTF. A description of each individual presentation in the panel (200-250 words each) combined in a single document, including:
Title Abstract: objectives and main questions addressed by each individual presentation; perspectives or conceptual framework; modes of inquiry, methods, or techniques used to address the questions addressed by the paper; data source or evidence; and key findings. Conclusions and significance as it related to the topic of the panel.
